After graduating from Indian River High School in 1976, Debby went on to earn an Associate‟s Degree in accounting. Debby then began her career with Callaway, Farnell & Moore Real Estate & Insurance as the receptionist in 1982. She obtained her Property and Casualty Insurance license in 1988 and earned the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation in 1989. She continued her career with Callaway, Farnell & Moore until they joined Avery Hall Insurance in 1999 forming Farnell & Gast, LLC. She is currently an Account Manager with Farnell & Gast in Seaford DE primarily working in Personal Lines Insurance.

Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband Gary, to whom she has been married since 1983, and with their children and grandchildren.
