Alyssa began her insurance career in 2006 when she joined Avery Hall Benefit Solutions. She came to The Avery Hall Insurance Group with several years of sales and customer service experience. She received her Life & Health license later that year and began her career as a Customer Service Specialist. Advancing quickly within the agency, Alyssa is currently an Account Executive.
She specializes in Individual and Family Health Insurance, Medicare Supplement and Prescription Drug Plans. Alyssa meets with individuals and families, on a daily basis, discussing what health insurance plans and other benefit plans will best fit their situations. In addition, Alyssa specializes in finding employee benefit solutions for area businesses.
Alyssa is very active with the United Way and has been a campaign coordinator for the last several years winning Coordinator of the Year in 2010. She is also an active member of the Insurance Professionals of the Eastern Shore and the local chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters.

Amy began working with Avery Hall Benefit Solutions October 22, 1999. As an Account Manager she follows up on renewals for group clients and handles day to day customer service needs, including billing and enrollment issues and claims inquiries. Prior to working with Avery Hall she was employed for over 10 years as an office manager for a local Country Inn. Amy received her license for Life & Health in June 2010.
Amy is a 1980 graduate of Goldey-Beacom College and lives in Talbot County with her 2 daughters.

Angie is a native of Salisbury, MD and she began her insurance career in 1996. Her former agency merged with Avery W Hall Insurance in 1999 happily making her a team member of The Avery Hall Insurance Group. She received her Property & Casualty Insurance license in 1997, the CISR designation in 2004 and the CIC designation in 2009. She is currently half way through the studies to earn the CPCU designation.
Angie is the Personal Lines Department Manager whose staff services homeowner‟s insurance, automobile / motorcycle insurance policies, recreational vehicles and antique automobile policies in Maryland, Delaware and Virginia areas known as the Delmarva Peninsula. Angie also serves as Secretary for the Executive Board and Assistant Vice President of Avery W. Insurance Agency, Inc. She is on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement, a member of Insurance Professionals of the Eastern Shore and is very active with the Avery Hall Insurance Relay for Life Team for the American Cancer Society.

Beth has been in the insurance field for over 30 years specializing in personal lines and joined The Avery Hall Insurance Group in 2009. As a member of Avery Hall‟s personal lines team, Beth services homeowner‟s insurance, automobile / motorcycle insurance policies, recreational vehicles and antique automobile policies along with other personal insurance products in Maryland, Delaware and Virginia areas known as the Delmarva Peninsula. She is currently working on her CISR designation and is a member of the Insurance Professionals of the Eastern Shore.

Brenda was born and raised in of Salisbury, MD. She began working for The Avery Hall Insurance Group in 1974 serving as secretary to 6 insurance sales agents and as the mail clerk. In 1983, Brenda is now responsible for coordinating calls regarding Physician‟s Medical Malpractice Insurance Liability, and she also handles requests for License Bonds, Permit Bonds, Court Bonds and Probate Bonds. Having served The Avery Hall Insurance Group for over 36 years and by maintaining strong relationships with area attorneys Brenda is a lead person on the Delmarva Peninsula for these types of Bonds.
Brenda lives in Delmar, DE with her husband Cliff, daughter Kathy and granddaughter Caitlin, and has a son, Kevin.

Cam is a native of Salisbury, MD and has been with The Avery Hall Insurance Group since January of 1999. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He has obtained the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.
His wife Vicki and he have one son. Cam has served as president and board member of the local Independent Insurance Agents Association and on the boards of several nonprofit agencies. Currently he serves on the board of Bay Shore Services and is a member of the Wicomico Rotary Club.
For relaxation he plays golf and exercises at a local gym in addition to reading.

Cassandra Smith

Cassandra is a native of Easton, Maryland and she began her insurance career in 1989 with Delmarva Health Plan, serving several positions in Claims, Customer Service, and Administration. Cassandra joined the Easton Avery Hall team in 1998 as Customer Service Coordinator. Cassandra obtained her life and health insurance license later that year, and in 2000 was promoted to Account Executive. Cassie is now a Senior Account Executive focusing on meeting the needs of small employers and non-group health insurance clients in the Mid-Shore area.
Cassandra spends her non-work time bowling, reading, serving on the PTA Board of Directors of two local schools, and is very active in her church.

Licensed in Property & Casualty and Life & Health, Cathy has over 28 years of experience with insurance in the Ocean City area. Born in Missouri, her family moved east to continue in their real estate business. She graduated with a BA degree from Gettysburg College and after a career with the federal government moved to Ocean City. Cathy is An active member of her church and enjoys golf as a member of Ocean City Golf Club. She and Paul have a daughter Mary who lives in Salisbury with her husband and two children.

Cindy is President of Avery Hall Benefit Solutions, with offices in Salisbury and Easton, MD. She started in the insurance business in 1990 with Delmarva Health Plan/CareFirst, and has been with Avery Hall since 1994, when the Easton office was established.
The benefits division provides individual health and employee benefit packages, including life, disability, dental and vision insurance, Medicare supplement plans, and Medicare prescription drug plans for individuals, families and businesses primarily on Maryland‟s Eastern Shore and in Delaware. Cindy enjoys working with group clients to figure out solutions to their benefit challenges.
Cindy graduated from University of Richmond's E. Claiborne Robins School of Business, with a degree in Marketing and Management. She has been married since 1984 to her husband, Dave, and they have two sons.

Debbie assists account executives as well as clients in the Individual Health Insurance and Medicare Supplements lines of business. Once the application is submitted to the insurance company she follows it through the process until the client is enrolled. If the client needs help with anything or has issues after enrollment, Debbie is there helping find solutions and offering guidance.
She received her AA Degree in Business Administration from Chesapeake College in 2002. She is a member of the Queen Anne‟s County chapter of CWN (Chesapeake Women‟s Network), which is an organization that raises scholarship funds for disadvantaged women who want to return to school to better their lives.
Previously she worked in the Title Insurance industry obtaining her license with the State of Maryland in 2007. She joined the team of Avery Hall Benefit Solutions in 2009 & added Life & Health to her license.
She moved to Maryland in 1997 from Florida and lives in Queen Anne‟s County with her husband Dennis.

Debra is a native of Maryland but moved to the Delaware area 5 years ago. Debbie obtained her Maryland Property & Casualty Insurance license in 1984 and Life and Health license in 1986. She has worked in all lines of the insurance field but primarily in commercial lines.
Debra was presented the "Insurance Woman of the Year" award in 1997 by the Insurance Women's Association of the Eastern Shore. She is now a member of the Insurance Women of Sussex County.
She lives in Millsboro, Delaware with her husband Rick. She enjoys spending time with her daughter Crystal and grandson Colby and spending time with family. Debbie and her husband help with caring for elderly family and neighbors.

Donnis joined the Avery Hall team in 1992 as a file clerk and quickly learned the phone system to provide back up for the receptionist. Later, she became the full time mail clerk and now spends most of her time scanning and directing documents to their correct recipient as Avery Hall continues to strive to be “paperless”.
Donnis is originally from Michigan and served in the United States Navy in Corpus Christi, TX. She moved the Eastern Shore of MD with her family in 1978. Donnis has 3 children, 9 grandchildren and another due in August. She say‟s she‟s one Happy Mom-Mom!

In 2008, Jamie obtained the CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) designation. She has also obtained the designation of CPIW (Certified Professional Insurance Woman). Jamie is the current President of Insurance Professionals of the Eastern Shore, for which she has been a member since 2004. She won the AAMGA award in 2009 for Outstanding Achievement through the National Association of Insurance Women.

Jenny transitioned into the Insurance Industry in 1997 after spending many years in sales in both the Real Estate and Automotive Industries. She joined the Avery Hall Insurance Group in 2000. As Marketing Coordinator, Jenny coordinates the Advertising and Promotional Campaigns engaged in by the group as a whole. Recently Avery Hall added the IT portion of the Coordinator position to streamline the many technical arms of the organization that keep the daily operations running smoothly and cost efficiently.

Hall Insurance Agency in 1998, her career path had traveled thru governmental with Capital School District's in their food service department; and then to manufacturing with an aerosol company that moved from New York to Delaware.
Jill earned her undergraduate in accounting and her MBA from Salisbury University. Most recently in 2010 she obtained her human resource designation SPHR (Senior Professional Human Resource).
She has sat or currently does sit on the following boards: Wicomico Library Board, ESHRM (Eastern Shore Human Resource Management), Avery Hall Benefit Solutions, Inc., AWH, Inc., and her local Historical Society.
Her community involvements include the following: American Cancer Society, United Way CIC Committee, Church, WINPAC, March of Dimes, and local community organizations.

Joe Gast is Vice President of Avery W. Hall Insurance Group. He is also the owner of Farnell & Gast, LLC in Seaford, DE and Brittingham & Williams, LLC in Millsboro, DE. He began his career in the insurance industry with USF&G Insurance Company where he worked in claims and marketing, then joined the Avery Hall Insurance Group in 1984.
Joe holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and the Chartered Financial Consultant (CHFC) designations; He graduated from The University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1978.

Julia A. “Judy” Esham started her insurance career in 1977 and has worked on both the company and agency sides of the industry. She joined the Avery Hall Insurance Group in 1986 and earned the Associate in Underwriting (AU) designation followed by the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation which is considered one of the highest designations amongst Property & Casualty Professionals.
Judy is Vice President of Avery W Hall Insurance Agency, Inc. and serves on the Executive Committee while still sharing her vast underwriting skills as the Commercial Lines Underwriting Manager with a team of 12 Account Managers in her department.
Judy is the chaplain of the Willard‟s Volunteer Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary and can be found volunteering for the Fire Department every Thursday.

In her 22 years of insurance experience she says she has seen many changes, but one thing that has never changed is the importance of servicing all her customers in a timely manner.

In order to make sure she can meet the expectations of her clients, Kathy obtained her Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1995, and is currently working towards the Certified Risk Manager designation, both of which require yearly updates.

Kathy S. Sutton, a native of Chestertown, Maryland, has been in the insurance industry since 1999 and currently represents Avery Hall Benefit Solutions as an Account Executive, with offices in Easton and, Salisbury Maryland. Kathy is a licensed life and health insurance agent and is fortunate to be able to remain local providing personal, professional service and benefit expertise to clients primarily in Kent, Queen Anne‟s and Cecil counties.
Prior, Kathy was employed with the LaMotte Chemical Products Company for 22 years. Kathy worked in customer service, marketing and later became a marketing assistant providing a high level of support to a vast number of key accounts.
Kathy graduated from Chesapeake College, where she earned an Associate Degree in Business Management. Kathy is a member of ESAHU (Eastern Shore Association of Health Underwriters) and NAIFA-Chesapeake (National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors). Kevin earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1977 from Salisbury University in Business Administration. Immediately upon graduation, he was employed at a local insurance agency and then joined Avery Hall in 1987. Kevin has pursued continuing education opportunities related to the insurance industry and earned his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1991. Currently, he is a Vice President at Avery Hall, concentrating on commercial and personal lines of insurance.
When not serving his clients, Kevin enjoys community service. He has served on several local Boards and Committees including St. Francis de Sales Church, the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, West Salisbury Little League, and Junior Achievement. When he's not coaching Little League, he can usually be found jogging, golfing or spoiling his grandson, Ethan. Kimberly Simpson began her insurance career in 1976 at The Hardester Corporation in Salisbury and was licensed for Property, Casualty and Health insurance in 1977. Kim worked as a commercial lines producer for Shore Insurance and joined Chesapeake Insurance in 1991. Chesapeake Insurance merged with Avery W. Hall Insurance Agency in 1999.
Kim is a commercial lines account manager here at Avery Hall. In 2008, the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors recognized Kim‟s commitment to professional excellence with the Outstanding Customer Service Representative Award for the State of Maryland.
Outside of the office, Kim has volunteered for more than 20 years with the Life Crisis Center as an advocate for victims of domestic violence. For that service she received the Salisbury Chamber of Commerce Unsung Hero Award. She is also involved with the Avery Hall Relay for Life team.

Mary currently serves as Vice President of Avery Hall Benefit Solutions, Inc. With 17 years experience in the insurance industry, Mary M. The owner of Avery Hall Life Insurance Agency asked her to join their team in 1995 and she has been with Avery Hall ever since. Mary was appointed to the board of Avery Hall Life Insurance Agency in 2004. In November of 2007, Avery Hall Life Insurance Agency changed their name to Avery Hall Benefit Solutions, Inc. to more accurately describe the focus of their business. They also merged with their sister company in Easton, Avery Hall Employee Benefit Services. Currently, Mary is a principal of Avery Hall Benefit Solutions and oversees the Salisbury office. Additionally, Mary has over a hundred clients and thoroughly enjoys working with them to understand the complexities of their group benefit plans.
Mary is currently President of Eastern Shore Association of Health Underwriters and on the Board of the Maryland Association of Health Underwriters. She also has been very active with the March of Dimes, Coastal Hospice and the Eastern Shore Ballet Theater.

Pat is also the founder of, and still serves on the Board of Directors of the Salisbury Substance Abuse Community Center, a non-profit foundation that sponsors a facility that provides space for area 12 STEP Recovery groups to conduct their meetings and a safe harbor for those who seek recovery from drug addiction and alcoholism.
